Sales Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The services of Sahli Translation & Mediation, located at 2100 Deurne, Dascottelei 133, are solely governed by our general terms and conditions. These are also available on our website: www.sahliservices.com. The customer’s and/or client’s general terms and conditions do not apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.

ORDERING

  • Procedure: Services are ordered in writing via quotation, email, WhatsApp, post, fax, or at the office. Phone orders must be confirmed in writing within 24 hours.
  • Conditions: By signing, the customer accepts the general terms and conditions. Special requests must be communicated in writing in advance. Cancellation of the order after signing obligates the customer to payment.
  • Deposits: For orders over €250 (excluding VAT), a deposit of at least 10% is required.

TRANSLATIONS

  • Delivery of Material: The client provides the material at their own expense. Costs for return via email or post are included; special shipping services will be charged separately.
  • Specifications: Dictionaries are used as references unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Confidentiality: All assignments are performed under confidentiality.
  • Storage: Digital files will be stored for 5 years.

INTERPRETING ASSIGNMENTS

  • Rates: Vary from €55 to €125 per hour, depending on the language and location. Additional costs for travel (€0.58/km), meals, and overnight stays.
  • Cancellation Conditions:
    • 15-10 working days: 35% invoicing
    • 10-5 working days: 50%
    • 5-2 working days: 75%
    • Less than 48 hours: 100%

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • Services: Focus on residency rights and administration, supplemented by family mediation.
  • Consultation: Requests must be made in writing. Rates vary based on the topic.

MEDIATION

  • General: Sahli Translation & Mediation offers mediation services and connects clients with professional translators.
  • Liability: Not responsible for the performance of individual translators.

PRACTICAL GUIDANCE

  • Guidance Services: Advice on personal development, administration, and procedures.
  • Payment: Rates are determined at the time of order confirmation.

COMPLAINTS

Complaints must be submitted in writing within 8 days after the delivery or performance of the service. Unjustified refusals do not result in exemption from payment.

 


DELIVERY TIME

Delivery times are indicative and not a binding obligation. Delays due to third parties are not the responsibility of Sahli Translation & Mediation.

FORCE MAJEURE

In the event of force majeure, obligations are suspended and will resume as soon as reasonably possible.

PAYMENT

Invoices are due within 30 days after receipt. Late payment incurs 10% interest per year and additional costs of at least €125 (excluding VAT).

COPYRIGHTS

All intellectual property rights remain the property of Sahli Translation & Mediation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Belgian law applies. Disputes will be settled by the courts in Antwerp.
